Irena Pichola is a long-standing and deeply engaged advocate for promoting, educating, and implementing the principles of sustainable development in Poland and Central Europe.
She is a recognized expert with over 20 years of experience in strategic advisory services in the field of ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance). Currently, she serves as a Partner at Deloitte, where she leads the Sustainability Consulting team in Central Europe, overseeing the work of 140 experts across 18 countries in the region. She also holds the position of Global Public Sector Sustainability Leader and is a member of the team working with European Union institutions on sustainability matters.
She actively participates in educational initiatives aimed at raising awareness of the importance of sustainability in business. She is a co-initiator of Poland’s first postgraduate studies in CSR and sustainable development, delivered in cooperation with Kozminski University.
Irena Pichola serves as Vice President of the Management Board of the Responsible Business Forum and as Chair of the Steering Committee of Chapter Zero Poland. She is also a member of the National Forum for Corporate Social Responsibility at the Polish government.
She regularly shares her knowledge through publications, conferences, and panel discussions, promoting best practices in sustainable development. In 2021, she was honored as one of the 25 Sustainability Leaders in Poland. Her work plays a key role in shaping sustainability awareness and practices in Poland, serving as an inspiration to many leaders and organizations.
