Dr Paweł Bukowski is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the University College London and the Polish Academy of Sciences. Also affiliated with the London School of Economics. His research focuses on socio-economic inequalities and labour economics. He has won multiple international research grants, founded an expert group – Dobrobyt na Pokolenia and is a member of Concilium Civitas – a group of influential Polish social scientists working abroad. His book “Inequalities in Polish” won the Puls Biznesu Scientific Economics Book of the Year 2004 and is in the final of the Marcin Król Award.
Gavin Edwards is a conservation and environment advocate with three decades of experience in pursuing and helping secure break-through solutions to the twin biodiversity and climate crises. He has contributed to important conservation successes including conserving the Great Bear Rainforest working alongside indigenous peoples, an Amazon soy moratorium, a Hong Kong ivory sales ban and the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework. He is the Executive Director of the Nature Positive Initiative Secretariat – a collaboration of 27 leading organizations who will drive alignment around the definition, integrity and use of the term ‘nature positive’. Mr Edwards holds an Executive MBA from Kellogg-HKUST.
Marga Hoek is a three-time CEO, who gained international recognition as a CEO for her visionary, innovative approach which synergizes sustainability, technology and strong business and financial results. She is the founder of Business for Good, which aims to accelerate sustainable, innovative businesses around the world.
Marga has authored three trailblazing books that all received golden awards, like ‘The Trillion Dollar Shift’ and recently ‘Tech for Good’ which in addition was selected as one of the Thinkers50 best management books of 2024. Marga’s vision and thought leadership is featured in Forbes, Fortune, Financial Times, G7 and G20 Magazines, Huffington Post and many publications. She is recognized as one of the most influential, forward-thinking management thinkers by Thinkers50 and Thinkers360 and one of the most sought-after speakers on sustainable business, technology, and investment.
Paweł is a Senior Vice President in the Debt & Capital Advisory team of ING in London responsible for advising corporate clients on raising debt capital in the wider energy transition space including renewables and energy storage. In his previous roles he acted as M&A advisor to clients across the wider infrastructure space including energy and TMT transactions. He combines over 13 years of capital markets experience having advised clients across several geographies in EMEA (including in CEE) and industries in sell-side, buy-side capacity and on debt financing advisory mandates. Paweł is a graduate of the Warsaw University with a MA in Finance and Banking and is a CFA charterholder.
Specialist in managing changes in the area of ecology, politician. Graduate of the Lodz University of Technology in the field of marketing and management (with specialization in food chemistry). She graduated with distinction from the Executive MBA studies at the Leon Kozminski Academy in Warsaw. In the Sejm of the 9th term, member of the Public Finance Committee, the Environmental Protection, Natural Resources and Forestry Committee and the Agriculture and Rural Development Committee, as well as chairwoman of the Parliamentary Team for the Green Deal for Poland. Since December 2023, Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Climate and Environment, including coordinating the implementation of the tasks of the Minister of Climate and Environment related to waste management and the implementation of the deposit system. Chairwoman of the 17th Conference of the Parties to the Basel Convention as a representative of the Central and Eastern European countries region.
Since 2002 he has been associated with the United Nations. From 2002 to 2009, at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), he was responsible, among other things, for international and multilateral cooperation and program development in Europe and Asia. He worked in many countries implementing development programs and projects based on knowledge transfer from Poland. These included in particular such countries as Iraq, India, Thailand and Romania. He also worked at UNDP headquarters in New York and UNDP headquarters for Europe and CIS countries in Bratislava. From 2009 to 2014, Director of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Office in Poland. From 2004 to 2021 Country Representative and Chairman of the UN Global Compact Network Poland Council – UN GCNP (UN network coordinating on behalf of the United Nations Global Compact cooperation with business, cities, universities, public administration and NGOs; more: ungc.org.pl). Since 2021 Country Representative and Executive Director of UN GCNP. Since 2021 Vice Chairman of the Council of the United Nations Association Poland. Since 2022 Co-Chair of the Sustainable Finance Platform at the Ministry of Finance. Since 2023 Representative of the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) in Poland. Academic lecturer, expert on UN and EU policies, especially in the area of actions at the nexus of business, administration and science and the inclusion of the private sector in the implementation of UN goals, policies and standards.

Armand Ferreira joined ING in 1996 as a management trainee. After several commercial and strategic functions, Armand became a senior relationship manager at ING Corporate Clients in 2010. Graduate of the Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering at the Warsaw University of Technology Professional experience: Since 1991, he has been working in managerial positions in the area of sales and management in large international organizations in the B2B and B2C segment (Henkel, General Electric, Miele, Lafarge, Ursa). He has been working for Nordkalk for 10 years, including 9 years as the President of the Management Board of Nordkalk Sp. o.o. Since 2016, he has been the Commercial Director in the Central Europe Region (Poland, Germany, Ukraine, the Czech Republic and Slovakia). Professional achievements: Changing the organizational and sales model at Nordkalk. He is responsible for the granulated lime project (trade name Nordkalk AtriGran), which has been successfully run since 2009. For several years he has been focusing on the development of sales and investments in Ukraine, mainly in the area of agricultural products.
Michał Mikołajczyk – lawyer, volunteer and employee of the Polish and International Red Cross, postgraduate studies in CSR at the Kozminski University. Since 2004, he has been associated with Rekopol Organizacja Odzysku Opakowań S.A. Author of many projects and campaigns promoting waste segregation and conscious shopping, e.g. the nationwide campaign “Day without Garbage”. Organizer of projects in the field of “green CSR” carried out jointly by entrepreneurs, local government, waste management companies, non-governmental organizations. Sales and marketing director since 2009, proxy since 2014. Participant in the work on the Circular Economy Package conducted by BusinessEurope in Brussels and on the concept of packaging and packaging waste management in Poland. Speaker and panelist at numerous conferences and seminars on, among others, Extended Producer Responsibility and the UN 2030 Agenda.

For the last 15 years, he has been associated with DHL Supply Chain, where he was a Member of the Management Board, Business Director, and then CEO of branches in Poland and Slovakia. During his career, he held managerial positions, including at DHL Supply Chain, PepsiCo Polska and Lyreco Polska SA. Expert in finance, accounting and taxes, expert auditor. A graduate of the Wrocław University of Economics and the International Management Center of the University of Warsaw, where he completed Executive MBA studies, organized in cooperation with the University of Illinois. He gained extensive knowledge and professional competences while working in various positions in the area of corporate financial management. Since January 2009, he has been associated with Vantage Development S.A., where he was a Member of the Management Board since 2011. In October 2022, he took the position of Vice-President of the Management Board of Vantage Development S.A. and ROBYG S.A. – companies belonging to the TAG Immobilien AG group. He is responsible for the area of apartment rental, which is strategic for the shareholder of both companies (development of the real estate portfolio, property management, acquisition and service of tenants), as well as HR and ESG.
Dr Bruna Petreca is a researcher and educator exploring the intersection of human experience, materials, and design. She is an Associate Professor in Human Experience and Materials at the Royal College of Art’s Materials Science Research Centre, where she leads research on consumer engagement with emerging sustainable materials. Her work integrates multisensory design, circular textiles, and digital fabrication, with a focus on fostering deeper connections between people and materials through embodied experiences and innovative design methodologies.
Krzysztof Pikoń Prof. PhD, DSc. is a full professor at the Silesian University of Technology (SUT). Scientifically deals with the issues of environmental impact, circular economy, LCA, LCC analysis, waste management as well as the modern pedagogical approach and active learning methods. He participated in many scientific projects focused on LCA Analysis and optimization of environmental impact. He is head of Department for Technologoies and Installations for Waste Management. He was the manager of 15 projects, including 3 European projects (Innoenergy, Norway-Island Fund, EU-Turkish Fund), 2 National Centre Research and Development (NCBiR) projects, 3 NAWA project (PROM – academic international exchange and KATAMARAN – pedagogical development of new MSc program in the field of Energy Transition) and 2 Ministry of Science and Higher Education projects. The total budget of project managed by him is about EUR 10 million. He was the contractor of about 40 research and scientific projects (including international ones: Tempus, Eureka, Horizon 2020, Horizon Europe). He is the author of two scientific monographs: The Circular Economy in a holistic approach (Silesian University of Technology Publishing House, 2018) and the Model of multi-criteria environmental analysis of complex technological systems (Silesian University of Technology Publishing House 2011). He is a co-author of the prestigious book published by John Wiley & Sons Publishing House in 2015 Handbook of clean energy systems. He is author of several pedagogical publication related to Challenge driven education, Project Based Learning and Case teaching. He was Program Director of Energy Transition MSc in EIT Innoenergy (Consortium of 13 EU Universities). He obtained the international management certificate PRINCE2 at the foundation and practitioner level and Agile PM. He also participated in a number of trainings focused on eduaction, pedagogy, new teaching methods including English Medium Instruction at UPC in Barcelona, Case Teaching at Harvard University and ESADE Business School as well as a number of training courses such as Problem Solving, Design Thinking and other soft skills. He was awarded with Medal of the National Education Commission (2019) and many Rectors Awards for scientific, organizational and pedagogical achievements. Anna Pulnar – Head of CSR Project Management at Lidl Poland. Among other things, she is responsible for implementing the company’s sustainability strategy, ESG reporting, conducting social and environmental campaigns within the company and communicating CSR issues. She has many years of experience in ESG implementation in both retail and banking industries.
Professor at the Leon Kozminski Academy, Department of Entrepreneurship and Business Ethics Professor of sustainable management at the Leon Kozminski Academy. Co-founder of “RES. Centre for Reimagining Sustainability. Management, Finance and Society”. Coordinator of postgraduate studies “ESG Perspective. Responsible and sustainable management”. Specializes in construction law, real property law, providing legal advice throughout the investment process as well as administrative proceedings and litigation.. He has extensive experience in litigation related to the performance of construction contracts, including payment of remuneration for construction works, contractual penalties or settlement of additional works. He represented Clients in numerous administrative and court administrative proceedings relating to investment processes, including proceedings concerning environmental permits as well as zoning and building permits. Before joining the GKR Legal team, he had been working in a large Polish law firm for many years. Michał was also employed as legal counsel in the litigation department at one of the largest Polish capital companies. He provides legal services in Polish and English.
Grzegorz Skrzypczak has been the President of the Management Board of ElektroEko Organizacja Odzysku Sprzętu Elektrycznego i Elektronicznego SA since February 2, 2006. Previously, he was the Commercial Director at Fastrack (2000-2005) – representatives of the British Company – Kenwood and the American company – Remington. In the years 1991-1999, he was the General Director at Brabork – representative office of Philips and Whirlpool. He was also an Economic Consultant for the Italian company Merloni Polska and for the Greek company Klimatechniki. A graduate of Management Dept. at the University of Warsaw and a former student at the University of Michigan in the United States.
Adam Targowski is the Group Head of ESG at CTP, which develops and manages industrial and logistics parks from the Black Sea to the North Sea in 10 European countries. Adam is responsible for establishing the group ESG strategy and its implementation along with country management teams. The team has recently focused on implementing actions to ensure the company remains a leader in sustainable development, supporting tenants and municipalities in achieving their targets. Adam joined CTP in 2022. Prior to joining CTP, Adam was heading sustainability at Skanska’s development business in CEE and operated a consultancy in the field of sustainability, supporting the real estate and construction sectors. Adam is involved in several organizations promoting sustainable development in Europe: RICS, Urban Land Institute, and Polish Green Building Council, where he serves as Advisory Board Member. Adam has degrees in engineering and an Executive MBA and has 15 years of experience.

Sylwia Wochal, ESG Center Director, Strategic Clients Unit, ING Bank Śląski. She has over 20 years of experience in banking, including corporate and structured finance. That is why, in response to current challenges, she initiated the ‘Wind – a mine of opportunity’ programme, which enables miners to be re-trained as wind turbine technicians, giving them the chance to work in a zero-carbon industry of the future. On a daily basis, she emphasises the importance of diversity. She supports women and is involved in initiatives to increase their presence in the energy industry. She is keen to share her knowledge, showing the potential and opportunities hidden in the RES sector. She is also committed to supporting the development of the Lubuskie region. In 2024, she became president of the board of the Go Green cluster established by the Western Chamber of Industry and Commerce, creating a network of cooperation around green technologies. In her work, she relies on cooperation with local communities, which, as she points out, are key at every stage of a project.

In his role, he is responsible for the development of technology in terms of new functionalities, communication, and expanding the company’s product offering.
In the past, he was involved in offline media and later worked for companies such as Tradedoubler, E-com 360, Profity (CH), and the Tarsago Group. Dr Paweł Bukowski is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the University College London and the Polish Academy of Sciences. Also affiliated with the London School of Economics. His research focuses on socio-economic inequalities and labour economics. He has won multiple international research grants, founded an expert group – Dobrobyt na Pokolenia and is a member of Concilium Civitas – a group of influential Polish social scientists working abroad. His book “Inequalities in Polish” won the Puls Biznesu Scientific Economics Book of the Year 2004 and is in the final of the Marcin Król Award.
Gavin Edwards is a conservation and environment advocate with three decades of experience in pursuing and helping secure break-through solutions to the twin biodiversity and climate crises. He has contributed to important conservation successes including conserving the Great Bear Rainforest working alongside indigenous peoples, an Amazon soy moratorium, a Hong Kong ivory sales ban and the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework. He is the Executive Director of the Nature Positive Initiative Secretariat – a collaboration of 27 leading organizations who will drive alignment around the definition, integrity and use of the term ‘nature positive’. Mr Edwards holds an Executive MBA from Kellogg-HKUST.
Marga Hoek is a three-time CEO, who gained international recognition as a CEO for her visionary, innovative approach which synergizes sustainability, technology and strong business and financial results. She is the founder of Business for Good, which aims to accelerate sustainable, innovative businesses around the world.
Marga has authored three trailblazing books that all received golden awards, like ‘The Trillion Dollar Shift’ and recently ‘Tech for Good’ which in addition was selected as one of the Thinkers50 best management books of 2024. Marga’s vision and thought leadership is featured in Forbes, Fortune, Financial Times, G7 and G20 Magazines, Huffington Post and many publications. She is recognized as one of the most influential, forward-thinking management thinkers by Thinkers50 and Thinkers360 and one of the most sought-after speakers on sustainable business, technology, and investment.
For 18 years, she has supported SME companies by providing specialised solutions to enhance security and enable business growth. Her experience spans from outsourcing, finance to information exchange industry. At the CRIF Group and the ERIF and KBIG business information bureaus, she is responsible for cooperation with clients in the non-financial area, focusing in particular on sustainable development (ESG) products and tools supporting recovery processes and risk assessment for cooperation with domestic and foreign entities.
Her individual and flexible view of clients’ needs allows her to successfully build lasting business relationships based on the win-win principle. On the other hand, her versatility and full commitment to each cooperation undertaken enables her to act effectively both in the area of sales and product development.

Paweł is a Senior Vice President in the Debt & Capital Advisory team of ING in London responsible for advising corporate clients on raising debt capital in the wider energy transition space including renewables and energy storage. In his previous roles he acted as M&A advisor to clients across the wider infrastructure space including energy and TMT transactions. He combines over 13 years of capital markets experience having advised clients across several geographies in EMEA (including in CEE) and industries in sell-side, buy-side capacity and on debt financing advisory mandates. Paweł is a graduate of the Warsaw University with a MA in Finance and Banking and is a CFA charterholder.
Since 2002 he has been associated with the United Nations. From 2002 to 2009, at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), he was responsible, among other things, for international and multilateral cooperation and program development in Europe and Asia. He worked in many countries implementing development programs and projects based on knowledge transfer from Poland. These included in particular such countries as Iraq, India, Thailand and Romania. He also worked at UNDP headquarters in New York and UNDP headquarters for Europe and CIS countries in Bratislava. From 2009 to 2014, Director of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Office in Poland. From 2004 to 2021 Country Representative and Chairman of the UN Global Compact Network Poland Council – UN GCNP (UN network coordinating on behalf of the United Nations Global Compact cooperation with business, cities, universities, public administration and NGOs; more: ungc.org.pl). Since 2021 Country Representative and Executive Director of UN GCNP. Since 2021 Vice Chairman of the Council of the United Nations Association Poland. Since 2022 Co-Chair of the Sustainable Finance Platform at the Ministry of Finance. Since 2023 Representative of the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) in Poland. Academic lecturer, expert on UN and EU policies, especially in the area of actions at the nexus of business, administration and science and the inclusion of the private sector in the implementation of UN goals, policies and standards.
